Prayer for TRUTH - Freedom
My prayer is still for a Holy Church, but after Ephesians I had to sit in awe of His Holiness, waiting for the Lord to show me how to pray further.
Then He said, "Pray for Truth in the Church." Not just that the Truth is preached, but that we live the Truth so that it can be seen by the world. So I prayed that Jesus will be lifted up and Him only - not tradition or opinion that has caused so much bondage.
In prayer
the Lord gave me a key. Just
a small key, not for the heavy church door of our buildings, but it was on a
string of flowers. a]ca]c

As I prayed into this I realised that the Key was Truth, - "and the truth will set you free."10 - the Truth that will unlock the doors in the Church.
I saw a door - a vestry door, the back way into a church taken by our clergy and those with responsibilities in the churches. The key fitted but I did not open the door........Faith was what I needed...........Faith...........just a small amount of Faith........... but real Faith...........
You are those doors, and I now have Faith that they are going to open and let in the Light: - and "the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth" 11

The flowers are Joy, Joy in Heaven and on Earth as we let in the Light, the light of Ephesians 5, and proclaim the Truth which will set the Church free.

Prayer for LOVE - Forgiveness
Lord, you
lead me to Revelation and I pray to "the
Alpha and the Omega, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the
Almighty."
What became of the Ephesians, they had received so much Love from you?
This letter of Paul's that you have asked me to pray is the one that they
received........... But in the
Revelation letter which you sent to Ephesus I hear words that you could be
speaking to us today. You
praise their hard work and endurance, their discernment and intolerance of evil;
and yet you say, "I hold this against
you: You have forsaken your first love."
12
O Father, do not let this be true of us...........Do not let our love for Jesus grow cold, do not let it become luke-warm. Let us take heed of the warnings you gave in Paul's letter and let us come before you in repentance, and in hatred of the sins that cause you to grieve.
Lord, let each of us "fall in love" with you afresh. As we lay down our burdens and concentrate on you we realise how much you Love, and it seems incredible that you should be asking for my love - so small - so weak.......... But perhaps Lord, if my love is multiplied by millions - the Love of your whole Church then perhaps..........
But I hear
you say, "It is you I am calling, it is you that I want, it will bring tears
but they are tears of Love, tears of Joy and tears of Repentance...........but
be assured I will not forsake you, I will bring you into my Peace and give you
the gift of Eternal Life." "He
who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches" 13
