Like a Healing Balm  (Your Word is a Lamp)

Like a healing balm,

Words so sweet and clear,

Your still voice of calm,

Soothing all my fear.

Light to guide my tread,

On this dusty road,

Shows the way ahead,

Bears my heavy load.

Lord, I’m a long way from my home,

Your words of comfort light the way up to Your throne.

(Chorus)

Your word is a lamp unto my feet,

Your whisper of tenderness, music so sweet,

Light up my path, make my journey complete,

Beacon for my soul,

Beacon for my soul.

And I praise You, Lord,

That You sent the Word,

To become the light

Of this fallen world.

And Your Word made flesh,

Then and now the same,

Is my lamp today.

I Praise Your holy name.

The road is clear, the way made known.

The word of God is still the lamp that leads me home.

(Chorus)

Your word is a lamp unto my feet,

Your whisper of tenderness, music so sweet,

Light up my path, make my journey complete,

Beacon for my soul,

Beacon for my soul.
